SSGeo Mapping
SSGeo Mapping is the first fully interactive map utility for self-administered web surveys. It collects precise geographical data directly from respondents, eliminating the need for an interviewer-assisted survey. SSGeo Mapping is embedded in standard web-browser software, so it is economical, broadly compatible, and easy for respondents to use.
This utility is fully compatible with the industry-leading DatStat Illume software, allowing you to integrate location data into your main dataset. It can be customized to nearly any geographical area in the world, and lends itself particularly well to migration studies, transportation studies, commerce studies, sample frame building, and any survey requiring location data.
SSG Alert
An effective computer-assisted survey information collection (CASIC) design requires precisely coordinated e-mail communication with respondents. SSG Alert is a tool that automates the process of sending study-related correspondence. It works with our data collection system to generate e-mail “alerts” when respondents interact with the survey in specified ways. SSG Alert can be programmed to identify individuals who have completed the survey to thank them for their participation, offer instructions for claiming an incentive, or provide them with a copy of their own responses.
SSG Alert offers the flexibility for extensive customization. You may choose the content of the e-mail messages, which recipients to contact, and the circumstances under which e-mails are generated. The software can be programmed with complex logic statements. Instead of contacting respondents, you may alert your research team or other stakeholders.
SSG Looping
The SSG Looping tool converts a standard, linear web survey into a sophisticated, multi-tiered instrument. It features multiple iterations—or loops—of a standard set of questions to collect data about multiple respondents within a larger unit.
The potential applications for this tool are extensive; you may construct a simple household roster that collects data on each child or a complex organizational survey requesting information from individual departments. SSG Looping also provides tools for a primary respondent to “delegate” the loop portion of the survey to second-tier respondents and to invite these individuals to participate.
SSG Summation
The SSG Summation tool is a real-time application for web surveys that collect numerical or percentage information. As respondents complete the survey, it automatically adds the data and populates the appropriate fields, reducing the response burden in surveys requiring extensive calculations. SSG summation can also be used to automatically insert commas into large values. In addition, it validates responses to ensure that respondents enter appropriate values into numeric fields.
SSG Survey Pass
SSG Survey Pass allows you to seamlessly pass an individual respondent from one programmed questionnaire to another so that the respondent is not aware of the transition. This continuity streamlines the administration of modular questionnaires and can also be used to sequester confidential information from the main dataset.
